Why Henry's Custom House Models?

A few reasons here. First off, our models make fantastic gifts for just one person, an entire family, or yourself. It's not just something off of Amazon, and that means a lot to people. Also, we give you the one-of-a-kind experience of building your own house, which is not offered by anyone else. There is also something really special about houses in general. People have a special connection to their houses and one of our models helps to invoke that feeling.

 

Why is it so expensive?

With our products being completely custom, we simply don't have the economy of scale that LEGO® has. We have to take the time to design each house, which quickly adds up to lots of hours. The end result, however, is absolutely amazing, and worth every penny.

What can you do?

ANYTHING. HCHB is capable of doing any type of architecture, including Victorian, Contemporary, Modern, Craft, Tudor, and more. We can build any kind of house, whether it's a vacation, suburban, urban, farm, or any other house.  The sky is the limit for size, colors, details, and other options. We can include holiday decorations, minifigures, pets and just about anything else you want. We can design your house to sit on a mantle, a coffee table, or a shelf. Seriously, we can customize anything!

​What can't you do?

There are a few things that we won't do. Any political signs and offensive symbols cannot be included in a house. Other than that, we'll take on just about any project.

​How does payment work?

Payment is done in a three part system unless you are ordering something really small or an add-on. The first payment of 30% is due before design work starts. The second payment is due after the customer has signed off on the design, and is 40%. The third payment is 30% and is paid upon delivery. All payments must be received through HCHM's professional invoicing system. You will be emailed an invoice that can be paid with any credit or debit card.

 

How long does it take​?

It depends on the size of the project. For a facade, it can take as little as 8 weeks. For a massive house with an interior, it can take up to 6 months. Please keep in mind that Henry is a Freshman in College and that this is not a full time job. Also, orders that must be shipped in 12 weeks or less have a 20% charge added to them due to higher parts costs.

What arrives to my house?

Your model will arrive in a package that includes a picture of your house, instructions for building the minifigures, a sticker, and a sheet with some general information. We only offer digital instructions, which can be downloaded here.

Do you have a waitlist?

While we try to avoid having a waitlist, we are often very busy. If there is a waitlist, it will be denoted on the order form. We recommend ordering well in advance if you have a deadline you are trying to meet. Please understand that Henry is in high school and must balance other obligations besides this business.
