HCHM is thrilled to be hiring for multiple open roles. You can see each role below. Please contact Henry with any questions. Hiring will be done on a rolling basis.
Builder
Responsibilities:

Receive all parts and pieces, tell Henry which orders have arrived

Build the entire model within the timeframe provided
-
Report any missing pieces to Henry, replace them if possible. Any replacement parts will be compensated

Critique intructions to make sure they are easy to follow
Qualifications:

Required:
-
Have enough open space to build the model in its entirety
-
Ability to meet deadlines. This is particularly important for this role
-
Live within a five mile radius of Upper St. Clair, Pennsylvania OR Elon, North Carolina
-
Be extremely detail oriented. This role isn't like building a LEGO set that you buy off the shelf. It can be tedious at times
-
Communication, reliability, etc.

Age 16+

Preferred:

Have a device that can open an instruction PDF or multiple gigabytes in size
-
Pay:
-
Pay is per house and a fixed amount that is calculated by total pieces, starting at 7 cents per piece
-
At a normal pace, this equates to about $20-30 per hour
-
At this time, HCHM does not offer any other employee benefits
Other Information:

Job type: Part time. Builders take on whatever projects they want. There may be times that there are no projects available

This job is designed as a "side-gig." It works great for a student or someone with a full time job looking for a fun way to make some extra money.

HCHM is looking for two builders in Pittsburgh and one in Elon
Disassembler
Responsibilities:

Receive a completed model and disassemble it in reverse order
-
Pack the pieces into labeled bags and keep track of everything
-
Report any missing pieces to Henry, replace them if possible. Any replacement parts will be compensated

Critique intructions to make sure they are easy to follow

Required:

Have enough open space to recieve the model and disassmble it

Ability to meet deadlines. This is particularly important for this role

Senior Designer
Responsibilities:

Design a house, from scratch, with reference material provided by the customer, in Bricklink Studio
-
Adhere to ALL HCHM design specfications laid out during training
-
Attend a required, one-on-one training with Henry (can be remote)

Create instructions for your model, in Bricklink Studio
Qualifications:

Required:
-
Have extensive prior knowledge of Bricklink Studio

Have an extensive knowledge of LEGO, the catalog of parts, and Bricklink
-
Understand LEGO part pricing
-
Extensive knowledge of LEGO techniques, including how to use the newest pieces
-
Extreme attention to detail
-
Great communication skills
-
Creativity
-

Preferred:
-
Have a device that can be used to design a complicated LEGO model
-
Prior 3D modeling skills in another CAD software
-
Pay:
-
Pay for this position is project based. Compensation will vary based on experience.

Pay structure is up for negotiation, whether it is per project or per hour
