Our Design Process

Here you will find a step by step summary of the process that we go through when design your house. Depending on the specifics of your house, this process can be adjusted.

Assembly Renders

Check out these videos that show how we design your house from the ground up.

Design Steps

1. The process starts when you fill out the order form. We'll send you an email with information and a link to schedule a brief presentation.

2. We'll see you on zoom for a quick presentation with options for your house and provide you a price then and there. After the meeting, we'll email you an invoice.

3. We start designing your house using a piece of software called Bricklink Studio. This allows us to design your entire house digitally before ordering any parts. Throughout the design process, we'll send you rendered pictures of your house to make sure you're happy with how everything is turning out.

4. We will reach out for another zoom meeting. In this one, we will go through you entire model and show you every detail to make sure you are happy with it.

5. We make any revisions that you've asked for, and send you more rendered pictures. If you're happy with everything, you give us the go ahead to order the parts, which normally take about six weeks to arrive.

6. We build, photograph, destroy, and package your house to assure that all parts are there and check for model stability. If you live near the South Hills of Pittsburgh, we are more than happy to deliver your house assembled at no extra cost.

7. We send your house off for you to enjoy, normally via USPS.

Advanced Design Skills

Experienced LEGO builders know that LEGO can be so much more than stacking bricks on top of each other! Each LEGO model is a collection of "techniques," some of which are advanced and take a long time to master. Henry is highly skilled in dozens of advanced techniques. In these pictures, you'll see some of the advanced techniques that Henry capable of doing.

Henry has mastered these techniques through years of building, experimenting, and researching. By using advanced techniques, HCHM is able to add more detail into models than most others. We use Bricklink Studio, a highly advanced software that enables us to add much more detail to sets because we have a library of every part LEGO has ever made. Feel free to ask Henry about his favorite techniques!
